PEAK OF HIGH SEASON IN DUBROVNIK

JULY MET EXPECTATIONS – AGAIN, RECORD-BREAKING RESULTS

Dubrovnik consistently achieves outstanding results in tourist traffic, once more achieving record-breaking tourist results for the month of July and the first seven months of this year.

According to the program eVisitor, which is used to register tourists, 179,642 tourists visited Dubrovnik in July which is 12% more than in July last year, and there were 688,138 overnight stays, or 14% more than in the same month in 2015. In July, most tourists came from the United Kingdom, France, USA, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Australia, Finland, and Belgium.

According to data available from the eVisitor system, which does not include nautical tourism, in the first seven months of 2016 Dubrovnik achieved record-breaking results in all types of accommodation.

There were 547,248 arrivals in Dubrovnik in the period from 1 January to 31 July 2016, for a total of 10% more arrivals than in the same period last year. During the first seven months of 2016, there were 1,824,702 overnight stays which is an increase of 10% compared to 2015.

The top-list of countries during the first seven months of 2016 from where tourists arriving in Dubrovnik came were: the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Croatia, Sweden, Spain, Finland, Norway, and Australia.

Since the beginning of the year to the end of July nautical tourism has seen 12,911 arrivals and 108,920 overnight stays, which is an increase of 2% compared to the same period last year.
